Fanny pack.

I’m a wedding coordinator and I recently purchased a fanny pack to use during events.

Let me tell you: it has changed the game.

Commonly needed items like scissors, double-sided tape, a lint roller, chapstick, safety, and bobby pins are the main contents of my fanny pack, but now that I’ve latched onto the genius of it, I’m slowly refining and adding to the inventory. I’m no longer relying on my pant pockets to hold onto important things. Items like hotel room keys and the bride’s jewelry can now be stored in the pack for safekeeping. I don’t have to leave these sensitive objects somewhere as I can only keep so much on me at once.

One thing that I didn’t realize is that by wearing the pack, I can tuck my phone and the timeline of the day (which I’m consistently referring to) snuggly in front of me instead of in my back pocket. In addition, the heavy walkie-talkie I have clipped onto me all day now has a sturdy strap to live.

I could go on and on about the benefits, but one thing I didn’t anticipate is that I felt more secure and focused with something wrapped around my waist.

Because I’m also a barista and wear an apron, I think tying something around my waist is almost ritualistic. It’s a hint to my body and mind that we’re getting down to business.

I highly recommend the fanny pack look. It offers stellar functionality in style, and I’m a big fan.
