In response to the prompt: Explain your best friend through a color.

A blend of seaside-tinted hues stacked on a dusty retail shelf.

Names like “rain on sand” and “misty mornings” printed on labels, placed across tightly screwed bottles.

Peacefulness exudes.

Neatly lined like an army of creativity, the bottles of arcylic face forward per the merchandise display’s rule of thumb.

When met with brush, ready to embark on whatever dreams inspiration deems worthwhile in that moment.

Bluey and unassuming, calm but not shallow, dynamic when blended well.

You are a steady body of water, shifting in tone the more you you become,

I love I get to sit beside your waves, watching them evolve, evolve, and evolve into more of who you’ve always been.
